Briksdal glacier (Briksdalsbreen), Norway

Briksdalsbreen is maybe the best known arm of the bigger Jostedalsbreen in Norway, the biggest glacier on continental Europe. Its not only the glacier that are spectacular, the path from the parking presents us with some breathtaking impressions as well.

Unfortunately due to hotter average temperature lately, the glacier now only reach to about the level of the last picture. Yes, yet another deep dive into our photo archive in this post as well. The pictures was taken in 2006.
